What does it mean to age in place?
An age-in place model provides the senior population with the appropriate care services regardless of their level of medical care needs.
Paramount offers a range of care options, including living, personal care/assisted living, secured memory care, and our signature Paramount Advanced Care Unit (PACU).
Independent Living
If you or your loved one can physically care for themselves and successfully manage your medications, then independent living is appropriate for you.
Personal Care/Assisted Living
If you or your loved one needs assistance performing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) throughout the day such as dressing, walking, standing up from a chair/seated position, showering, using the bathroom, taking medications correctly or help with instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL's) such as doing laundry, cooking, cleaning, managing doctor appointments, then personal care is the appropriate care option.
Memory Care
If your loved one requires an increased level of safety because of a dementia related diagnosis, then this level is the most appropriate option. The common effects of progressing dementia in seniors may include demonstrating actions such as increased memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, wandering, or increased agitation.
