Report to Activities Director before beginning duties.
Report all requests, problems, complaints, etc. to the Activities Director.
Assist resident with eating and walking as directed.
Assist resident with arts and crafts, letter writing and other activities, as needed.
Deliver messages or run errands for residents.
Encourage residents to communicate with others in recreational areas, lounges, etc. and to take part in activities.
Escort residents to designated areas, as directed.
Immediately report any irregularities and unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to the Activities Director.
Report all incident/accidents and changes in a resident’s condition to the Activities Director immediately.
Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive attitude, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
Visit residents to establish contact on a regular basis, assist the resident in building relationships, stimulate communications and self-identity.
Perform clerical duties as directed.
Assist with serving meals and cleaning dining areas as directed.
Assist with the daily mail delivery as requested.
Report to Activities Director when scheduled visits cannot be made.
Promote good public relations to the community.
May not perform any duty related to Director of Resident Care.
Communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) in English.
